For about the last 7 years, on and off, my wisdom teeth have been pushing through and repositioning the other teeth in my mouth. The physical sensation of this has been a worse trigger of my misophonia than my sound triggers by far. It’s almost the same difference as between “regular” misophonia anger, and regular anger. Sound triggers are like a sudden jolt, whereas this is more like a slow-burning increase in intensity that’s impossible to get away from. Has taken me from silent teeth gritting right through to screaming and writhing on the floor like a baby, sometimes for hours. I haven’t had a bad episode like that for a while, but I think they’re making another little push at the moment.
