Unlike most people I only have one trigger sound and that is people coughing. I have suffered with this since I was a babe in arms and am now 68 years old and can honestly say it has had an enormous impact on my life. I do not go to cinemas or shows or any other crowded places and travelling such as sitting on a train or plane is a nightmare for me also if anyone in the family catches a cold I practically go into hibernation as I feel physically sick my heart pounds and I want the ground to swallow me up. On the plus side I have now found the condition has a name and I’m not just weird
Hi Carol
I know this might be a while since you posted but could you tell me more about your situation as i have a brother who has the same trigger as you and really need help.
Thanks
Peter
