I am a person who has Misophonia and am so grateful to find this site, after years of stress and thinking I was a freak! I link this with having experienced anxiety, depression and possibly a form of IBS. I have had tummy troubles for over 20 years and have seen specialists, had colonoscopies, gastrocopies, blood tests, etc trying to find out what the cause may be. There are no conclusive answers or remedies in my case.
I am wondering if the mental conditions that seem to accompany Misophonia may be the cause of particular physical ailments? Perhaps we release more cortisol, due to the stress we experience?
I am a holistic healer myself and also a therapist in AOD/Mental Health and an absolute believer that the mind causes dis-ease of the body.
Do others with Misophonia have physical ailments that they may link to the condition?
