Home Page › Forums › Misophonia Forum › Best noise cancelling headphones + my triggers
Hi all,
I just discovered this group last night when I was trying to fall asleep and my partner was snoring so loud I though I was going to scream. I wear high quality ear plugs every single night but I can still hear him snoring. HELP! I want to buy noise cancelling headphones to wear over the earplugs.
My main triggers include (but are not limited to):
Snoring (probably the worst one)
Loud Breathing (especially at night when I am trying to sleep)
Nose whistle when breathing
Slurping (even if I accidentally slurp it sets me off)
Certain swallowing noises
Kissing noises (have to mute kissing noises in movies..)
Biting cutlery
Chewing noises
Hands or nails touching cardboard
Certain people’s style of typing (the noise of the keyboard)
Certain people’s speaking voices (exaggerated “S” sounds)
