I have the same triggers (i.e. chewing, crunching, slurping, nail clipping, etc.) I also have other triggers, repetitive sounds, someone else’s horrible rock music back beat coming from their earbuds that’s too loud for their ears if others can hear them, humming and singing constantly, even repetitive movements like jiggling legs, the sight of someone chewing gum. I have been advised not to tell my coworkers how it effects me, but I’m about at the breaking point, especially today. I’m only a temp employee right now, but based on my performance and attendance I may be hired on in a couple months. I don’t want to do anything that may jeopardize my position now, but I also can’t keep going on like this. I have to deal with the same stuff at home too, and I need a break!
